L’Etape du Tour 2011

This route follows the main Massif Central stage in the 2011 Tour de France. Starting just south of Issoire, it leads through the impressive Monts du Cantal mountains where you will find two major obstacles on your way. First there is the Puy Mary (Pas de Peyrol) at a height of 1589 m. You barely have time to recover for the second challenge, the 4,4 km climb to the top of the Col de Perthus at an average of 8%. L’Etape du Tour was filmed in the colourful autumn of 2010 and shows the green heart of France at its most beautiful.
