A tough yet very scenic cycletour in the beautiful Lake District in the northwest of England. The route through this rugged, green national park covers a total distance of 78 km and starts next to the tranquil lake of Wastwater at the foot of England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike (978 m). The ride includes the notorious Hardknott Pass with its very steep grades, Wrynose Pass and the highest road of England at Kirkstone Pass. After the descent to the lake of Ullswater the final climb leads to the finish in Matterdale End.
